Waether Conditions
A cool, damp spring caused a delayin the budding. Then because rainfall exceeded the vines' requirements, vegtation grew quickly. The threat of downy mildew attack was at its highest. Summer arrived after a slightly tricky period of flowering bringing about substantial but  reasonable levels of coulure (poor fruit setting). Summer was hot and in particular dry, which encanced an evenly-spread veraison. Grape skins were thick and the ripening process was long. It was an autumn vintage.
Healthy grapes were brought in at satisfactory ripeness levels thanks to our clay soils.

Tasting comments
Aquite simple but very expressive nose with aromas comingthrough of ripe red berry fruit, vanilla and tomato peel.
On the palate it is straight, and is tight enough to smooth out the firmness of the tannins. The finish has nice uplift brought by good acidity resulting in a sensation of freshness and flesh.
