Freshness and fruit character

This lovely wine estate located right in the heart of Saint-Emilion's prestigious vineyard slopes, was very recently acquired by the Florisoone family, the former co-owners of Château Calon Ségur.
Château Godeau Ducarpe, the worthy younger brother of Château Godeau is appreciated for its freshness and fruit character. Sourced from the slopes but from younger  vines, it is a more accessible wine in its first years than its elder brother.

Tasting comments

A clear, deep ruby-red colour. An expressive nose with spices coming through: pepper, pimento, mint and toasted smoky note.
Quite ample in the attack on the palate, its medium-bodied becoming firmer and more virile as it develops on the mid-palate.
